How do I update my payment information after placing an order?Updated 3 months ago

If you need to update your payment details after placing an order, there are two options:


1. Update Your Payment Method for Future Orders


If you want to update your payment details for future purchases, follow these steps in Shopify:

    •    Log in to your Shopify account.

    •    Go to Settings (in the left sidebar).

    •    Select Billing and click on the “Billing” section.

    •    Manage Payment Methods: Under “Current billing cycle,” click “Manage.”

    •    Add or Edit Payment Method: Click “Add payment method” to enter new details or “Edit” to update an existing one.

    •    Save Changes to update your payment information.


2. Cancel & Reorder with the Correct Payment Method


Once an order has been placed, the payment method cannot be changed. The only way to use a different payment method is to cancel your current order and place a new one with the correct details.


To successfully cancel your order before processing begins, you must request a cancellation within 110 minutes of placing it. After this time, the order will have already entered fulfillment and can no longer be canceled.


To request a cancellation, email [email protected] with your order details as soon as possible.
